2019 Acura RDX Crossover Redesigned
2019 Acura RDX Crossover Redesigned – Honda’s luxury brand is planning to launch a premium version of the all-new compact crossover SUV popular for model year 2019. We project that “less is more” approach: the third-generation RDX will be about the same size as the 2012- 2017 model, but it will lose the V-6 engine for turbocharged four-cylinder and lose weight in the name of better handling and fuel efficiency.
RDX is one of the first-compact premium crossover, debuted for the 2007 model as the first Honda vehicle with a turbocharged engine. That turbo four is a bit rough and not very fuel efficient, and the first generation RDX is stalled sales. A slightly larger and far more refined second-generation RDX debuted for 2013 and devoted almost all shortages, particularly replacing the turbo four-cylinder with a V-6 is smooth. Model-year 2016 updated styling and features – along with prices weaken them a lot in the segment – has helped RDX which achieve class-leading sales.
2019 Acura RDX – Why do I have to wait for 2018?
Because you’re willing to trade for a V-6 turbo four modern with better fuel, but may lack power. You will also need to be OK with the trade handsome, understated styling current version to see “young” more aggressive. More importantly, the reception will most likely bring the benefits of car safety systems AcuraWatch Plus as standard on every trim level. It is an extra-cost system for 2017, which means that only RDXs so equipped have autonomous emergency braking, a prerequisite for industrial safety rating of the most sought after, + Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
2019 RDX will again be a slot below the middle in the Acura MDX crossover lineup. But come the 2019 model year, will probably no longer be the smallest Acura Crossover. Just like RDX which is essentially a beefed-up version of the Honda CR-V compact crossover, Acura is on track to hit the Honda HR-V subcompact crossover to create the CDX, rival the likes of the Lexus NX and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Should I buy 2017 models is not it?
Yes, if you feel more comfortable with the V-6 under the hood. But it’s far from the only attribute this premium compact crossover. It’s roomy, comfortable, exciting to drive, and can cost thousands less than a comparably equipped rivals from the likes of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Plus, you will buy from brands that score highly for reliability, resale value, and customer service. Note, however, Acura is one of several brands of luxury vehicles that do not offer a factory-scheduled maintenance program for free.
2019 Acura features RXD
The Acura Watch suite of safety features are also likely to be standard, as opposed to an optional as it is now. This package includes a radar-based adaptive cruise control, automatic steering correction if you walk out of your lane, and emergency braking to the front. Model-2017 RDX models so equipped received the coveted “Top Safety Pick +” award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety influential. RDX is available out with a fairly complete set of safety and comfort features, though Acura will probably make more than their standard on ’18. Amenities accumulation on all models should include LED lights, electric heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, power rear liftgate, and a multi-view backup camera Honda.
We hope that the return of the optional Technology and Advance package to the ’18 lineup. The former will include in-dash navigation system; genuine leather seats (replacing substitute imitation leather); ELS audio system-premium brand Acura; blind-spot warning with cross-traffic detection behind; and GPS-linked climate control. Advance Package adds ventilated front seats; front and rear-obstacle detection; rain-sensing windshield wipers; remote start engine; and a unique wheel. Acura can shuffle around a little more of these features, such as making long-distance start part of the Technology Package. We’ll know more closer to the launch vehicle.
